Tips from the NT
Not being on facebook and tumblr for only 5 days has its quirks.
Finished 1 and 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 and 2 Thessalonians, 1 and 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, and half of Hebrews.
Notes?
Do not be unequally yoked. Duh. 2 Corinthians 6:14-5. No excuses. Do not become partners with them. Ephesians 5:7-8
Lots of references toward false teachers. Christians, get your doctrine down so you can discern between them. Don’t find yourself watching a nooma youtube clip. Galatians 1:9
Predestination. Lots of it. Galatians 1:15, Ephesians 1:11, Ephesians 1:5, Ephesians 2:5 (DEAD, YO)
Not through works but through faith. Galatians 2:16
Works of the flesh are evident. Galatians 5:19-21. In case we forget.
Rebuke in a spirit of GENTLENESS, but rebuke you must. Galatians 6:1
Do not cease to give thanks. If your Bible study leader asks you for something you’re thankful to God for this week, you better have something to say EVERY week. Ephesians 1:16
No corrupting talk. No filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking. HINT HINT, got a foul mouth? Tame it. Like dirty jokes? Clean them. Ephesians 4:29, Ephesians 5:4
Do not get drunk with wine. Do not get drunk with wine. Do not get drunk with wine. Ephesians 5:18
Stop complaining. Philippians 2:14-15
Be wary of false doctrine, and pretty much anything that Jesus never said. Oh yeah, Tumblr philosophy! Colossians 2:8
1 Timothy, 2 Timothy and Titus are called the pastoral epistles for a reason. If you’re a leader I’d advise you to study this pretty hard.
