Sometimes we forget God is a Father and like any good dad, He has awesome stories to tell. My dad would tell me crazy stories when he was a prisoner of war in the Vietnam War; all about his heroics and daring escapes and beating up the bad guys. Sometimes you’ll need to read the Bible without pausing for little details, but just to get the wide panorama of what God has actually done. Like a child in his daddy’s lap, be in awe of God’s power and gentleness. Be outraged when people refuse Him but God sends His Son for us anyway. It’s okay to giggle at God’s weird sense of humor.
